Before a message ever leaves your device, it's encrypted using AES, one of the strongest encryption standards in use today. The encrypted message travels to the recipient, where it can only be decrypted by their device using a private key that Rackon never has access to.

This is what end-to-end encryption means in practice: only you and the person you're talking to can read what's being said. No third party, no platform, no server in between can access the content of your messages.

Rackon collects only what's strictly necessary for your account to function — your phone number or email address for identity verification. That's it. We don't track your location, monitor your behavior, build usage profiles, or collect data for advertising purposes.

No. Messages are encrypted on your device using keys that Rackon doesn't hold. Since we never have access to the decryption keys, it's technically impossible for us to read your conversations — even if we wanted to. This is the core principle behind zero-knowledge encryption.

Messages are stored only on your device, not on Rackon's servers. Once a message is delivered to the recipient's device, it's removed from our servers immediately. There's no message archive sitting on a server somewhere that could be accessed or compromised.

Two-Factor Authentication adds a second layer of security to your account beyond just a password. Even if someone else gets hold of your password, they'd still need the 2FA code — typically sent to your phone or email — to successfully log in. It's one of the most effective ways to protect your account from unauthorized access and is strongly recommended for anyone who wants to keep their secure messaging account protected.

No. Rackon uses zero-knowledge encryption, which means our servers don't hold the keys needed to decrypt your messages. Even in response to a valid legal request, we have no ability to hand over readable message content — because we simply don't have it.

Rackon complies with valid legal processes, but compliance doesn't extend to decrypting messages that we architecturally cannot access.
